DRIFT PRACTICE INSTRUCTIONS

 

Information for Drivers

• Gate Entry Fee is $10.00 (for everyone).
   
• Practice starts at 5pm, but drivers should be there at around 4.30pm.
• 
  Drivers intending to practice may use a garage (free of charge).
• 
  On arrival, go to the Scrutiny Office in the Pit Paddock for ‘Sign on” -

           
                 You will need to;

            1. Fill out and sign an entry form/disclaimer form.

            2. a) Show your CAMS Level 2NS Licence (or higher).

                b) If you do not have a CAMS Licence, you can purchase a Level 1            

                  ‘day’ licence for $25.00.

           3. Pay $90.00 for your practice ‘track time’.

• 
  When you have done all of the above you will be issued with a wrist-band which will need to be worn to gain access to the track.
• 
  There will be two groups: Group 1 will be for drifters with CAMS Level 2 NS competition licenses (generally more experienced drifters). Group 2 will be for drifters with ‘one day’ licenses (generally less experienced).

Each group will be able to drift in alternate 30 minute sessions.

• 
  You will need to wear a CAMS approved motor sport helmet.
• 
  You will also need to wear long clothing - cotton or wool only.
• 
  Cars will not be scrutineered, but on your entry form you will sign-off to say that your car is safe and suitable for practice.
• 
  When you are ready – (from 10am or 5pm), go to the ‘form-up’ area prior to accessing the track.
• 
  If the organizers are of the opinion that a car is unstable or unsafe, drivers will be asked to finish their practice season immediately and leave the track.
• 
  A tyre fitter will be available at the North Terrace Tyres garage.
• 
  The kiosk will be open for food and beverage.
• 
  Alcohol consumption is strictly forbidden in the Pit Paddock area.
• 
  Practice will finish at around 4.00pm for day practice or 9.00pm for twilight practice.

CARS & KARTS PRACTICE INSTRUCTIONS

For competition cars with a CAMS logbook, drivers must wear the same helmet, apparel & boots as required for racing.
 
Non Competition drivers need a Helmet with AS1698 APPROVAL by CAMS, clothing (non synthetic) with full length sleeves and leg coverage.

CAMS LICENCES MUST BE SHOWN AT ALL PRACTICE SESSIONS.

The practice fee for 2008 is $100.00.
 

MOTORCYCLES  PRACTICE INSTRUCTIONS

Practice fees for 2008 are $110.00.

An MA licence is required, or a one day licence is available for $25.00.

It is a condition that all motorcyclists wear an approved helmet and full leathers at all times on the track.
